Tim is known as a leader in the running community. He started coaching while he was a collegiate runner, here he coached 4 athletes to college scholarships.

After graduation he became a graduate assistant coach at the University of Alabama. There he was under the tutelage of coaching legends Joe Walker and Harvey Glance.

Tim then became the youngest Division 1 Cross Country coach at the age of 24 at the University of South Alabama. In just 2 years at South he coached 10 conference champions, had 36 all-conference runners, and 6 NCAA qualifiers.

For 2 years Tim coached privately where he coached 15 state champions, and two professional runners to times of 3:36 in the 1500m and 27:55 in the 10000m

After a 4 year hiatus from coaching, Tim started RunCCG with Chris Catton. Where in 2019-20 they had 3 Olympic Trials Qualifiers and had 23 athletes sign to run in college.

Christopher Catton

Co-Founder

Chris is a coaching legend in North Carolina. He was the cross country coach at Reagan High School and turned the program into a distance running powerhouse.  He produced some of the greatest runners to come from North Carolina like Craig Engels (4:03 mile), Jake Hurysz (8:49 3200m), and Scott Morgan (8:55 3200m).

Chris then moved to Pennsylvania and took over the cross country program at an underfunded school. With just 5 runners on the cross country team MCA qualified for the Pennsylvania State XC Championships. While at MCA Chris had 7 runners sign to run in college.

6 years ago Chris started RunCCG with Tim Goldsack. Where in 2019-20 they had 3 Olympic Trials Qualifiers and had 23 athletes sign to run in college.

As an athlete Chris ran for Wake Forest.  He was 4th at ACCs in the 800m and as a PR of 1:48 in the 800m

Personal
