McKenna Trapheagen and Ashley Klingenberg had an outstanding end to their 2019 track season.
McKenna finished 17th in the Championship 5000m with a huge 25 second PR of 17:34. McKenna was 4th in her heat and turned a lot of college coaches heads with how well she ran. On Saturday she doubled back on 16 hours rest to take 5th in her heat of the 2 mile.
Ashley went out Sunday and took 7th in her heat of the Championship mile. Going into the penultimate lap Ashley got tripped up and fell to the pack of the pack, she worked hard and with 300m to go got into 2nd place. She fought hard and given everything that happened in the race, ran outstanding.
